Erick Lee is a film composer and music producer whose musical scores can be heard in media worldwide, including award-winning films and hundreds of commercials. In 2017, Erick composed the original score for the documentary Trophy, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. More recently, he composed music for the feature film Fam-i-ly, which showed at the SXSW Film Festival, and the comedy Boy Genius, featuring Rita Wilson. Previously, Erick wrote music for the short film Time Freak, which garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short. In television, he composed music for the hit Netflix documentaries Immigration Nation and Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, as well as the sitcom Family Reunion.
In 2014, Erick won the AICP Award for Best Original Music for composing and producing the song “Não Olhe Pra Trás” for Coca-Cola’s “Burn” campaign. His work can be heard in countless advertisements for brands including Google, Budweiser, IBM, and UPS.
His indie rock project, Modern Rivals, has released an album and two EPs, garnering praise from the likes of Pitchfork and SPIN.
Under the moniker Sucreblooms, he continues to release music in the electronic pop realm, with a new EP forthcoming in Fall 2024 via Grind Select.
